DoD Lab Day

Watson Institute for SciEng Research attends the third biennial Department of Defense (DoD) Laboratory Day hosted by the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (USD(R&E)). DoD Lab Day, held at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, showcases STEM R&D performed throughout the Defense Laboratory Enterprise that will benefit national security and defense. Defense department R&D is an exemplar of scientific engineering research and develops innovative technologies needed to deter war and protect the security of the United States. DoD Lab Day exhibits applied research and experimental development in areas such as advanced computing, artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicle concepts, big-data analytics, biotechnology, cyber defense, directed energy, hypersonics, and mechatronics.
