Watson Institute for SciEng Research assists the eCYBERMISSION in helping students identify community problems through hypothesis, research, and experimentation.
eCYBERMISSION is one of the STEM initiatives offered by the Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP). The U.S. Army is committed to answering the nation’s need for increased national STEM literacy and expanding STEM education opportunities across the country. The goals of eCYBERMISSION are to inspire and improve student performance in STEM and to encourage future careers in these fields.
eCYBERMISSION is a virtual STEM competition for students in grades six to nine. Students work to choose a problem in their community to explore with science or solve with engineering. Students discover the relevance of STEM education and learn how they can make a difference in their communities. Since its inception in October 2002, eCYBERMISSION has received praise from educators across the world. eCYBERMISSION supports phenomenon based learning and directly aligns with Next Generation Science Standards.
